Dear Parent Collective is a snail mail club designed to deliver joy and connection straight to your mailbox each month. In addition to a heartfelt letter, surprise paper good, art postcard, sticker, and easy recipe, you’ll receive everything you need to quickly and quietly uplift another parent in your life, if you so choose. This is slow mail for busy parents. Pass it on.
As someone who has done thousands of home visits — joining parents in their homes to talk about child development and the parenting journey — and as a parent myself, there’s one thing I know for sure: Parenting can be tough, isolating, and exhausting. It can also be delightful, rewarding, and fun! Let’s take a moment for ourselves, and a simple step to uplift another parent.

Slow mail, small actions, strong community.
~Heather

Frequently Asked Questions
A snail mail club is a subscription club whose members receive letters and curated goodies in their mailbox (not inbox!) each month. It’s an opportunity to receive something positive and tangible in the mail — not just junk mail and bills!
Dear Parent Collective is designed specifically for parents and those interested in the parenting journey. In my letters, I reflect on my own experience and weave in some of what I have learned from other parents in the thousands of home visits I did as a Child Development Specialist.
Nope. There won’t be any instructions to “copy and send to seven friends for good luck and to avoid misfortune” or anything like that. It’s just a letter from me to you with some fun additions inside, including a stamped postcard to do with as you choose.
Each letter you receive from me will include a suggestion for who you might consider sending the postcard to (a friend who is going through a tough parenting chapter; the parent of a child in your child’s class who gave you a supportive smile when your child was having a tearful drop off…). I will also include a few alternative ideas each month, and of course you are welcome to do whatever you like with it, including keeping it for yourself!
Letters are posted around the 10th of each month. If you sign up before the 10th, you’ll receive that month’s letter. If you sign up on the 10th or later, you’ll start receiving letters the following month.
Update your address in your account by the 10th of the month to receive that month’s letter at the correct address. If you are a gift recipient and don’t have an account, the purchaser can update their account, or you can contact me using the form below.
If it has been more than 2 weeks (United States) or 4 weeks (other countries) since mailing day and you haven’t received your letter, reach out to me using the form below.
There is no additional fee for receiving the letter in a country outside the United States, but note that the postcard included in the letter will not be stamped.
